Art viewing: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Lunch: 1:00 PM - 2.00 PM at:
Museum Hill Cafe

Host: Mary Lawler

Fee: Free museum admission for all participants.  You pay for your own lunch.

Instructions: Approximately 2 weeks before Slow Art Day, the host will e-mail you with a list of about 5 suggested artworks to look at, but you’ll be free to spend time with whatever catches your eye.

You go to the Museum ON YOUR OWN. The suggested time of entry is 12 PM on Saturday, but you’re welcome to start earlier in the day and take longer in the galleries.

Nothing prohibits you from talking to the person beside you, but this is not an organized group activity.

When you’re done, you’ll head over to the Museum Hill Cafe and buy something to eat or drink. At this time you will get to talk to other participants about your experience.

Slow Art Day

Slow Art Day is a global nonprofit with a simple mission: to promote the art of looking at art slowly.

Through this mission, we hope to increase the love of art and the support for museums, galleries and artists all over the world.

Our main activity each year is to organize the international Slow Art Day with volunteers in cities on every continent (yes, even Antaractica).
